An explosion blinded my eyes for a second time, and a rock formed in my gut.
I stared in shock at the crater. My mouth hung open for a few seconds before I shook my head, and quickly ran over. Everything else disappeared. I couldn't hear anybody, anything else but my heart pounding. Sliding down the slope, I spotted her body, lying underneath piles of dirt and stone.
"NO!!!" I yelled, and began digging at the dirt. Using my bare hands, I managed to uncover her face, which barely protruded from the layers of soil.
